The mighty have fallen and this Temecula home in Santiago Estates is proof positive of this. Assessed in 2008 for around $4mil, this beautiful home has been dubbed the Disneyland House. I don't see why because really it's more European Chateau-like than Disney but people get stuck on things and it is what it is. I'm going with the agent's description here because sometimes (not often) I will admit, they write better about the house than I do.
"It was built by Seaway Builders, Inc. as the owner's personal home. Seaway has built numerous exotic homes, some of which have been featured on the cover of magazines, including the Orange County edition of Dream Homes. The home cannot be reproduced for close to the price offered. This home is so exotic and feature packed that the brochure is 8 pages long. The home features unbelievable Chateau style exterior architecture, mutiple real rock swimming pools, a french theatre styled movie theater, huge game room, sport court, exotic landscaping, screened lanai, and too many amenities to list. AMAZING!" That said, $2 million is still a steep price, one typically reserved for homes further out in Wine Country but I think there's still value here because the location is close to everything, the home is 5,600 sq feet fully loaded on almost 3 acres in a great neighborhood. The homes surrounding it that have actually hit the market run around $1+ million so I'm thinking that for the right buyer this is a beauty.
